Every active Discord server has moments worth keeping: the perfect meme, a genuinely helpful answer, a clip everyone reacted to. They scroll away in minutes. A starboard catches them — and lets your members, not a moderator, decide what's worth saving.
How a starboard works
Pick a star emoji and a threshold. When any message collects that many of that reaction, CloudMod reposts it to a dedicated highlight channel — with a link back to the original, the author, and the current star count. It's a hall of fame your community curates by simply reacting.
The members do the curating
The whole point is that nobody has to hand-pick anything. If a message is good, people star it; once it crosses the line, it's immortalised automatically. That keeps the highlight channel honest — it reflects what the room actually loved, not what one moderator noticed.
You choose the emoji and the bar
The default is ⭐, but you can use any custom server emoji to give the board its own identity. The threshold is yours too: a small server might set it to 3, a busy one to 10 so the bar stays meaningful. Set it where a spot on the board still feels earned.
It stays accurate
Each message only lands on the board once, and CloudMod keeps the star count on the posted entry up to date as more reactions come in. No duplicates, no stale numbers — just a clean, live highlight reel.
Getting started
Enable the Starboard plugin, point it at a #highlights (or #starboard) channel, pick your emoji and threshold, then star a message yourself to watch it appear. Set the bar a touch high at first — you can always lower it once you see how often your community reacts.
