Moderation · Logging
A Discord logging bot with a channel per event.
Discord’s audit log doesn’t show what a deleted message said, and only people with the permission can read it. CloudMod posts what happens on your server to the log channels you choose — message edits and deletes with the old text, joins and leaves, role changes, voice, server structure and every moderation action.
Something happened — and nobody can say what
A message disappears, a role changes, a channel is gone, and the only trace is an audit log without message content or join history. A log channel gives your team a readable record the moment it happens, without handing everyone admin rights.
Every category, your channels
Members, messages, server structure, voice, moderation, automod and roles — switch each on or off and send it to its own channel or one default.
Auto-create in one click
Auto-create channels builds a staff-only CloudMod Logs category with a channel per category and wires it up. Run it again and nothing is duplicated.
One log for the whole network
All your servers can share one log channel — every entry’s footer names the server it came from.
Message content never stored
The old text of edited and deleted messages is held briefly in memory and posted to your channel only — never written to CloudMod’s database.
Set up logging in three steps
- 01
Add CloudMod
Invite the bot and set a default log channel in project settings.
- 02
Pick your categories
On the Logging page, switch categories on or off and route each to a channel — or hit Auto-create channels.
- 03
Read the feed
Every entry uses the same layout and colours; bursts arrive as one message with a line per event.
Frequently asked questions
Can CloudMod log deleted and edited messages?
Yes — edits, deletes and bulk deletes, including the old content. The text is held briefly in memory and only posted to your log channel, never stored in CloudMod’s database.
Can each event type go to its own channel?
Yes. Every category can target its own channel or fall back to the default log channel — or Auto-create channels sets up a full staff-only log category for you.
Does it show which moderator did it?
Yes — kicks and other moderator actions name the responsible moderator, read from Discord’s audit log.
Can I log what other bots do?
Yes — pick a bot role, give it to the bots you want to track, and every audit-log action they take is posted to the Bot actions category.
Can several servers log into one channel?
Yes — in a network all servers can share one log channel, and each entry’s footer names the server it came from.
Is the logging bot free?
Yes, CloudMod has a free plan.
