Status Roles: Reward Members Who Rep Your Discord in Their Status

Give a role to members who put your invite (or any keyword) in their Discord custom status — a passive, automatic way to promote your server. Here's how Status Roles works.

Some of your most loyal members already promote you for free — they put your invite link in their Discord status. Status Roles notices that and thanks them for it automatically, turning a quiet gesture into a visible reward and a small growth loop.

How it works

Set a keyword — usually your invite link, but it can be any phrase — and CloudMod watches members' custom statuses. When someone adds it, they get a role; when they remove it, the role comes off. No forms, no honor system, no manual checking: the role simply reflects who's repping you right now.

A passive growth loop

Every member wearing your link in their status is a tiny ad in every server they're in. Rewarding it with a special role — a colored name, a perk channel — gives people a reason to add it and keep it there. It's word-of-mouth promotion that runs itself.

A note on requirements

Status Roles is a Premium plugin, and because it reads presence, it needs the Presence intent enabled. CloudMod only ever looks for your keyword in the status text — it's scoped to exactly this feature and nothing else about a member's presence is used.

Getting started

On Premium, enable Status Roles, set your keyword (your invite link is the classic choice) and the reward role, and add the keyword to your own status to see the role appear. Make the reward feel worth it — a distinct color or a small perk — so members want to keep repping you.
