CloudMod vs Raid-Helper
Raid-Helper is a dedicated event and raid calendar bot. CloudMod adds role-based event sign-ups to an all-in-one bot built for server networks.
Raid-Helper focuses on organising events inside Discord. Its documentation describes creating events through a command dialogue, the single /quickcreate command or its web dashboard, and custom templates with classes and specs. Custom templates and recurring events are part of Raid-Helper Premium.
CloudMod’s Events plugin (currently Alpha) posts an event with a button per role from your line-up. Full roles go to a bench, and when someone drops out, the first person on the bench moves up and gets pinged. The built-in line-ups (MMO Trinity, Scrim 5v5, Simple) and your own line-ups are free; the free Node plan allows 3 open events at a time. Around it, CloudMod keeps roles, nicknames and bans in sync across several servers.

Frequently asked questions
- Is CloudMod a Raid-Helper alternative?
- For role-based sign-ups, yes: a line-up with slot limits, a bench that moves up on its own, notes on sign-ups and a reminder before the start. Raid-Helper goes further on events — its documentation covers recurring events (Premium) and creating events from a web dashboard, which CloudMod does not offer today.
- Do custom line-ups cost extra in CloudMod?
- No. Defining your own line-ups is part of the free Events plugin. The plans only change how many events can be open at once: Node 3, Link 10, Network 25, Grid unlimited.
- Can I use CloudMod and Raid-Helper together?
- Yes. They do not get in each other’s way — keep Raid-Helper for your raid calendar and use CloudMod for moderation, role sync and the rest of your server.
