Utility · Away & Timezone
An AFK command for Discord.
Half of Discord’s friction is not knowing whether someone’s around. An AFK command removes the guesswork: people mark themselves away with a reason — and, if they know, for how long — so anyone who pings them is told instead of messaging into the void.

“You there?” — sent three times, no reply
You ping someone, wait, ping again, wonder if you said something wrong. They were just away. An AFK status tells pingers immediately to expect a delay — and with a duration, exactly how long a delay — which keeps conversations calm.
Away, with an end in sight
/afk set takes an optional reason and a duration like 2h, 3d or 1w. No dates to type — CloudMod counts forward from now.
Pingers get a heads-up
Mention someone who is away and CloudMod replies with their reason, when they are back, and their local time if they set one.
Short absences clear themselves
Step away for an hour and posting again clears it. Book two weeks off and it stays — one check-in from your phone shouldn’t undo a holiday. /afk back ends it whenever you like.
Nothing lingers
Every entry expires: the duration you set, or 30 days at the very latest. /afk list stays a list of people who are actually away.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set an AFK status in Discord?
Run /afk set with an optional reason, and a duration like 3d if you know how long.
What happens when someone pings me?
They get a note with your reason and when you are back — plus your local time if you have set a timezone.
Do I have to turn it off?
For a short absence, no — posting again clears it. From a day upwards it stays on purpose, and /afk back ends it.
Can I see who else is away?
Yes. /afk list shows everyone currently out, soonest back first, and /afk info @user checks one person without pinging them.
Is it free?
Yes — a free plugin, currently Alpha.
