Utility · AFK

An AFK command for Discord.

Half of Discord’s friction is not knowing whether someone’s around. An AFK command removes the guesswork: people mark themselves away with a reason, and anyone who pings them is told — no more messages into the void.

“You there?” — sent three times, no reply

You ping someone, wait, ping again, wonder if you said something wrong. They were just away. An AFK status tells pingers immediately to expect a delay, which keeps conversations calm.

Set it and forget it

/afk with an optional reason marks a member away — that’s the whole interaction.

Pingers get a heads-up

Mention an AFK member and CloudMod replies with their reason and how long they’ve been away.

Clears itself

The moment they send a message, their AFK clears — no /back to remember.

Zero admin overhead

Members manage their own status; it just works in the background.

Set up AFK in three steps

  1. 01

    Enable AFK

Invite the bot and switch on the plugin.

  2. 02

    Members go AFK

A member runs /afk with an optional reason.

  3. 03

    Auto heads-up

Pingers are notified; it clears when the member returns.
